There was heartbreak for St Manchan's Ladies U14s, who were beaten by a single point by Shamrocks in the 'B' Championship Final on Saturday in Durrow. Having trailed by 2-9 to 0-3 at half-time, every one of the girls put in the performance of their lives in the second half, and with 5 minutes to go it was 2-9 each. However, the Shamrocks girls had the final say, and with their only score of the second half, kicked the winning point to take the title by 2-10 to 2-9. Our girls can feel very proud of themselves and their never-say-die attitude, and can feel confident of reversing the outcome when the same teams meet in the League final in the coming weeks.
