LADIES FOOTBALL   08/10/2018

Hard luck to our Junior Ladies, who were beaten by Shamrocks in the Junior County Final in Kilcormac on Saturday. Though they were well behind at half-time, our Ladies came out in the second half and put in a superb battling performance, and never gave up until the final whistle was blown. We have a very young Junior team and the future is definitely bright for this team.

Our U14s travel to Rhode on Wednesday evening to compete for the Division Two League Title. Throw-in is at 7.30pm in Rhode, and we hope that supporters will travel in numbers to cheer on the girls.

Our Minor Ladies take on Shamrocks in Round 3 of the championship this weekend. Our Ladies had a great win over St Rynagh's in Round 1, and having had a bye in Round 2, they will be anxious to keep the momentum up with another good performance at the weekend. Details to follow, so please keep an eye on St Manchan's Ladies Facebook page.

Congratulations to St Manchan's U14 players Saoirse McGuinness, Sarah Browne, Kaytlin Flynn, Abbie Cornally, Halle Egan and Emma Keeneghan, who all represented Offaly with distinction in a blitz in Limerick on Sunday. Thanks also to Lori Rickard and Ella Doolan for helping out on the day.
