Ballycumber/Tubber U13 Footballers played their second game in the Leinster Club League on Sunday in Ballycumber, when they hosted Granard/Ballymore from Longford. From the early exchanges our lads were well on top, as they cut through the Garnard defence at will and picked off scores with ease. The Longford team rallied but could only register a single point by half-time, by which time Ballycumber/Tubber had built up an unassailable lead. Scores did not come as freely in the second half, but it provided an opportunity to give plenty of game time to all the squad as they prepare for tougher tests ahead in the remaining rounds, and Ballycumber/Tubber ran out emphatic winners. Next up is a home game against Jenkinstown Gaels of Meath this weekend.
