Well done to St Manchan's Gaels U13 first team, who played out a thrilling draw with Shamrocks in the Semi-Final of the 'B' Championship in Rahan on Sunday. The standard of football was of a very high quality, with excellent scores, saves and tackling on display by both teams. Leading by 3 points with a minute left, the lads looked to have secured a place in the final, but following a goalmouth scramble, Shamrocks somehow managed to force the ball over the line for the equaliser. 20 minutes of extra-time followed, and it was end-to-end and exceptionally entertaining for the large crowd in attendance. On this occasion it looked like Shamrocks had done enough as they led by a point with time just about up. However Colm Egan held his nerve, and slotted over the equalising free to take the game to a replay. Final Score: Shamrocks 4-8 St Manchan's Gaels 2-14.

Our U13 second team play St Vincent's in the 'C' Semi-Final in O'Brien Park on Monday 7th at 7.00pm

Our U15s take on Ballinamere/Durrow on Wednesday evening in the 'A' Shield semi-final. Throw-in is at 7.00 in the Faithful Fields.
