History

An adult ladies football team in Tubber was established in 1996. This team of ladies from Tubber and Ballycumber had success in 1998 and 1999 winning a Junior football title under the management of Tommy Colgan. The team narrowly lost the Junior final in 2000. Shortly after, due to emigration and other commitments the club disbanded. At that time Tubber were represented at county level by Elaine Kavanagh, Orla, Daly, Maire McManus and Treasa McManus.

In November 2011, ladies football was revived in the area and a new ladies club was established to cater girls from the Tubber & Ballycumber areas. The club catered for girls from the Lemonaghan Parish including Pullough and Doon. The first club officers were Gerry Robbins, Don Carroll, Siobhan Fox, Rebecca Carey. Maureen Ayres, Helena Murray, Aidan King, Orla Daly, Lorraine Keena, Phylis Price, James Farrell, Majella Heavin and Regina Walsh.

St. Manchan's Ladies Football

The St. Manchan's Ladies Club now caters for all girls and ladies, with teams from u6 up to adult level. There are currently over 150 ladies from the Lemonaghan and Tubber parishes. In 2018 St. Manchan's are represented by Therese Robbins at Minor level, Niamh O'Reilly, Ava Cornally at u16 level and Halle Egan, Sarah Browne & Saoirse McGuinness at u14 level.They have also qualified to take part in Feile Peile na nOg 2018 - a first for the young Club!

Registration for 2018 is as follows:

u6, u8, u10, u12, u14 players - €25
u16, minor and adult players - €35

Those from Tubber GAA paying family membership are asked to contact St. Manchan's Registrar Alma Egan in relation to their daughter's registration.
